Mr. McKiernan is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Third View Private Wealth. He has advised high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families for over a decade on navigating complex situations involving investment, trust, estate, tax, and philanthropic objectives.

He began his career as an analyst at Markit (now S&P Global), covering buy-side institutional clients in the OTC derivative industry. He moved on to roles as a cross-asset strategist at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse in New York, advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals and single-family offices on asset allocation and global market strategy.

Mr. McKiernan later joined Merrill Lynch as a Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor, before joining Baker Tilly US, LLP. He joined as the youngest partner at the firm and was made Co-Head of Baker Tilly Wealth Management, a $3.5B (1) registered investment advisor (RIA). Mr. McKiernan’s leadership responsibilities included financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and evaluating mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He was also a member of the Investment Committee. 

Prior to founding Third View Private Wealth, Mr. McKiernan was a Senior Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon, an independent registered investment advisor in Connecticut.

Mr. McKiernan was named by Forbes on their 2025 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors Connecticut Private Wealth list and the Forbes Best-in-State Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors list in 2024 and 2025. He has written articles and thought-leadership pieces for national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Forbes, AccountingToday, and InvestmentNews. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University.

Outside of Third View, Mr. McKiernan enjoys running, traveling, and spending quality time with his wife and three daughters.
